Youth Peer Advocacy

Restorations Second Stage Homes (“Restorations”) has received funding from WAGE Canada for a project to develop and put in place a Survivor-Led Peer Advocacy approach to increase identification, prevention, and intervention of human trafficking of youth.

We will address the dire need for more survivor-developed supports and services to prevent and address human trafficking among the diverse youth population in Hamilton and Halton, Ontario.

Peer Advocacy supports for youth

Part of our project includes expanding our existing Survivor-Led Peer Advocacy services to support youth. Stay tuned for more information!

Educational toolkit

Part of our project also includes developing an educational toolkit to increase identification, prevention, and intervention of human trafficking of youth.

2 Advisory Committees - a Youth Advisory Committee and a Caregivers & Service Providers Advisory Committee - will be created to inform what information and resources will be covered in the toolkit, advise how knowledge is combined and presented, and provide feedback on toolkit development.
